For a few weeks I have been drinking from my sippy cup, all by myself!!

Mummy let me have strawberries today for the first time. At first, I thought they were yummy!!



Then I tasted a sour bit and wasn't so sure



Mummy chopped one up into little pieces and put them in some strawberry yogurt. I liked them this way!

My girl had her first experience of bullying

A wee boy at the toddler group had a thing for Kirsty today, but not a nice thing He kept trying to hurt her. Squeezing her hard and pressing a huge lego-style brick into her face

Poor Kirsty. She had a wee cry when he pressed the brick into her face - don't blame her! The wee boy was bullying loads of kids. I know they all go through a phase of being rough, but the granny hardly told him off at all! It doesn't bother me, Kirsty is going to get pushed or hit etc much more in her life but I just don't like that the boy didn't get explained to that it wasn't a nice thing to do

Anyway, Kirsty is just fine  She was a brave wee soul!!!

Kirsty said mama!

Ok, so it doesn't fully sound like mama, more a mixture of baba and mama but it was definately aimed at me

When I try to get her to repeat "mama" she says "dada" I'll say "no, I'm not dada, I'm mama!", she looks at me as if to say "yeah, that's what I said" She's too cute!

What a good girl!

My parents have been away for a few days and are stopping overnight tonight in our town. So tonight we met them for dinner, and took Kirsty with us. We met at 5pm, kirsty ate her dinner at 5:30 and we were there until around 7pm.

Usually Kirsty goes in the bath at 6:30pm and bottle/bed by 7/7:10pm. Considering we were "late" home and she wasn't bathed/fed/bed until around 8pm, she was really good! She got a little crabby around 6:45 but she was soooo good!!! Took her a while to settle to sleep, bless her, but she's snoring like a wee piggie now

Kirsty finally mastered rolling tummy to back!

This evening after dinner, Kirsty & I were playing on the floor when she deliberatly rolled from her tummy to her back. Then she enjoyed going back & forth for such a time!!! So cute! YEY my little girl can finally roll in both directions!! Hopefully she wont get stuck on her tummy in her cot anymore

She's doing a funny thing too, she goes onto her tummy and pulls her legs up but not so she goes on her knees, like she tilts over onto her hips but doesn't roll back... could this be trying to sit up from laying down?!

She has been in such a wonderful mood since her dinner tonight, her & I have had great fun playing on the floor

She loves the "where's the...?" game! She has bath toys and knows the crocodile, cat & fish now!! She even does a cute sound which is her form of meow. She's so clever!!

Time for an Autumn theme

Yup, I decided it was time for an autumn theme. I've worked on it all evening and am exhausted so if you spot any errors of colouring, don't worry!! It will be corrected tmor!!

Mummy wanted to take a photo of my purty pearly toofer, she tried very hard and took lots of photos but I kept closing my mouth and sticking my tongue out *giggles*. She managed to snap this one though...

Mummy's clever girl!!

Kirsty plays on the floor heaps just now but unless I'm sat beside her, I usually lay her down as she still is a little unsteady sitting on her own. I hate that she will eventually topple over and bump her head on the floor. It doesn't hurt her as much as she gets a fright. So today I made DH take down the spare single duvet we have, and lay it on the floor doubled over so she has a soft landing should she fall. She was really unsteady this morning, but she has been sitting up playing with her toys for the past 30-45 minutes without falling over!!

Kirsty graduated yesterday!

She moved from the baby spouty bottle for her water to using a big girl cup!

She's now using the Tommee Tippee Explora cup with handles... all by herself! She doesn't quite tip it up enough but she's getting there

Wow!!

Kirsty's toofers are really sticking through the gum!! This is it, we're joining the rank of toofer-babies!!! They aren't really visible but deffo can feel them.

And she ate 1/2 weetabix and 2 cubes of fruit for breakfast (should I say, she gobbled it up!). I've only been offering her 1/4 with some fruit and she has only been having 2-4 spoonfuls. With her eating well yesterday I thought I'd up her portion this morning and she ate the lot!!

Looks like her teeth were stopping her eating!

Lovely.... she's filling her nappy Gotta love the grunting they do when they are doing their poos!
