Welcome to a year in photos!

Since having my little girl last year, I realise how precious memories through photos are. With inspiration from Amy & Cambria, I've decided to (try to) blog a photo for each day of 2010 starting tomorrow!! Let's hope I keep it up!!

Milk from a sippy!

A few days ago I decided to try Kirsty with her breakfast milk in a sippy cup. She has moved from being spoon fed to self-feeding toast, and I wanted her to have a drink alongside her toast. The logical method was sippy cup rather than a bottle. She did well! She has 5oz of milk at breakfast time and she manages approx 3oz via sippy before protesting to get the rest in her bottle (thankfully the lid of the sippy is interchangable with her bottles and the bottle lid is with the sippy base).

Twas the night before Christmas....

Someone is a very lucky little girl.....

Kirsty is crawling!!

Kirsty started crawling today... proper "up on hands and knees" crawling as opposed to the army/belly crawling she has been doing for such a long time!! Wow my girl is growing so big!!

Toddlers Christmas Party today

Kirsty had her very first Christmas party today. It was at our Toddler group. She had a blast. Although it was hard going for the little babies as there were lots of party games & songs such as pass the parcel, Kirsty is a little young to sit through all these games, but she enjoyed it all the same.

And Santa stopped in to give all the children a pressie each... Kirsty got one of her most favourite books (by utter chance!! How did he know?! I had no idea Santa would give each child a gift!) "That's Not My Angel...". She adores the touchy-feely pages of these books.

Kirsty got weighed today

2 weeks ago she was 19lb 7oz..... today she is 19lb 14oz!!

More teeth!

Kirsty actually let me look inside her mouth today for just a minute. I can see the top left-side tooth (fang) is right below the gum, not through it yet though. And the front one next to it wont be long either. No wonder my poor girl has been out of sorts lately!!

What's that coming over the desk... is it a monster?

When did she get to be so big?!

Bedtime update!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today went:
7am: up, dressed, bottle & brekkie
9:30-10:30am: nap
12noon: lunch
2pm: bottle
2:30-4pm: nap
5pm: (HUGE!!!) dinner
7:15pm: bath, bottle, bed

DH did bedtime He laid her down in the cot after burping her, she rolled over and went to sleep  He stayed for about 1 minute, then left... she just went to sleep!!!

We did an earlier afternoon nap with a later bedtime, which I'm hoping will set a new trend for getting back to normal bedtime.

Usually we get her up by 5pm from her nap and do bath between 6:30-7pm. I guess she just wasn't properly tired out?!

Baby cough

My girl still has the cold!! But now has developed a cough - it's never ending!! She has a dry, barky cough which is making her gag at times... worse when she is asleep, it really kicked in last night after dinner.

Guess what!!!

Kirsty stayed in her cot ALL night lastnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

We took the buggy out of her room before taking her up to bed last night and made sure she was able to look about and see it was gone, but without us mentioning it. No idea if that made a difference or if it was just coincidence. She woke up around 1am, DH went in and laid her down, he said she was very sleepy, he stayed there a minute or 2, then just edged out and came to bed.

She slept on until I got her up at 7am

She has an awful cough though, poor baby. Her nose is worse than a running tap so I'm hopeful this is the cold coming out of her now.

I'm officially....

I feel really bad

mummies are supposed to know what is wrong with their baby... I don't!! Kirsty has done nothing but whinge and moan for about a week now. The last few days have been so bad. I don't know what is wrong with her! She still has a slight cold and struggles to breathe thru her nose.

Surely that wouldn't make her so gurney?? I've wondered about teething. but calpol brekkie, lunch & bedtime does nothing.

She's clingy. And now we struggle getting her to bed as per my post yesterday or day before. I don't know what to do. Maybe I should have booked her in with a doctor today? urgh!!

Stewart got a job!!!

He got a job offer through the post just now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starts January 5th!!!!!!

Urgh!!! Sleep issues!!!

Kirsty is driving me insane right now!!! She started trying to pull up on the furniture last week but OMG she has some serious tantrums when she either cannot get up, or if she is up and we take her away from whatever she is standing against, say for e.g. if she's in danger of falling, or we need to go get lunch, etc.

I mean serious tantrums!!!

BUT, the most annoyingly frustrating part is standing in her cot at bedtime. We lay her down, and she stands right back up which in turn is stopping her going to sleep!!! She can be so exhausted she can hardly keep her eyes open, but still stands up

Help me please!!!! Tell me we're not the only ones going through this?.
