Kirsty babbled this morning!

Kirsty did her first little babble this morning!! It's soooo cute!! Here's a link to a video of her!!

I went to get Kirsty from her cot this morning at 6am, and this is what I saw...





Now, you might be wondering what is wrong with these pictures? Kirsty gets wrapped in her shawl when she goes to bed, I wrap her arms in as well so all you can see if her wee head poking out the top. Also her feet touch the foot of the cot... so as you can see she escaped wrapping and went for a wee stroll up the cot!!!

However, she went to bed at 8:30pm last night, woke for a feed at 1:30am and got up at 6am!!!!! I only got up to feed her once last night!!! Whata clever girl!!!!!

I bought Kirsty a bouncy chair last Thursday, she adores it! I snapped her snoozing in it this morning... I am biased, but isn't she gorgeous!

Kirsty usually goes to bed around 8 or 9pm, and she will wake to feed at around midnight, 3am and then gets up for the day around 6 or 7am.

Last night she woke at 12:30am and 5am, then got up at 7am! so she slept from 1-5am!! A whole 4 hours!! WOW!!!

Kirsty's 5 wk Health Visitor appointment

Kirsty was weighed again this morning, last week she was 10lb 2½oz, this week she is 10lb 13½oz!

We saw another H/visitor this morning, the same one who did our very first home visit - she's so lovely! Actually spoke to Kirsty, the one we usually see doesn't ever speak to her

Was so funny tho, I was holding Kirsty whilst talking to the H/v and K let out a HUGE fart with some after-poo.... That's ma girl!!!! The H/v asked if I was supplemneting with formula, I said no but I do hope to, she said "give yourself a huge pat on the back as you have fantastic breast milk, her weight gain is proof!"

Kirsty's first day away

Kirsty had her first day away from mummy & daddy today! She was entertained by her gran & aunty on Stewart's side for a few hours whilst mummy & daddy enjoyed lunch in peace

She even managed to take 5oz of booby milk from a bottle What a clever girl she is. It's a huge step towards being able to breast feed & formula feed. It'd be great when she's used to bottles to be able to start introducing formula... I'm dreaming of that longer sleep at night when formula might keep her feeling fuller for longer!!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE!!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE!!

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips or (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract and your favourite tipple
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to your largest mug and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using), vanilla extract and a drop or two of your favourite tipple, then mix again.


Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high).
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!


Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.


EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
