Saturday 1st September 2007, hubby had the unfortunate experience of breaking his right arm, midway between the wrist and elbow... fun! He had an operation to plate the two halves of bone together on Tuesday. The last week was a complete nightmare, between the agony he was in and the complete incompetence of the nursing staff and hospital.
Due to a lack of beds, he was put into the Urology ward... yup... elderly men having "waterworks" problems! The nurse even admitted to me on my way out one night - "We don't know how to care for broken bones"...
That may be so, but you DON'T tell a patient, nor their relatives!!!
At least I have him home now to look after him...
